I recently purchased a Silva brass match case.Upon opening the package
I looked at the product and saw that it looked like it had
been shaken in a box of rocks.The finish was almost destroyed,and there
was a wierd black paint residue all over the case.
Upon closer inspection I noticed that there were machining marks over
the whole product.I then proceeded to test the compass,
which right away was completely inacurate.The north mark was pointing
almost all the way east.The afore mentioned black residue was also on
the compass face.Overall I WOULD NOT trust this matchcase outside my
backyard let alone trust it to be dependable in a
survival situation.
